This book is an accout of an expedition to Northern Burma (Myanmar) in 1930. Exercising his phenomenal memory, Kingdon Ward retraces his steps along a bridle path where, eight years earlier, he had seen a rare orchid. To his delight he found the plant and introduced Paphiopedilum to the Western World.
