Cornwallis and recounts it. DB also talks of the lack of co-operation he found with other publications. (3) A signed letter from Seton Gordon in relation to writing a review of DB's work. (4) Each volume has its own published review loosely inserted. The second article is a, not unwarranted, disapproving, response letter from esteemed wood engraver Gilbert Dalziel (1853 - 1930) in which he asks if the doctor is aware of the engravings in eight works (all listed) and are they too the work of Mid-Victorian wood scratching?
