About us

We are a family business specialising in books on all aspects of natural history, gardening, botany and beekeeping.

We have a thriving and loyal customer base for our shop and the catalogues that we produce. Catalogues are available in hard-copy or as an email attachment. Our shop is open 7 days a week from Easter to Christmas. From mid January to Easter we open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday and by appointment.

We have always sold second-hand and antiquarian books in these subjects and more recently, new books. We offer a very wide range of field guides for the naturalist and more academic tomes for the specialist.

Our shop also stocks a wide range of finely illustrated works in our specialist subjects. We currently have in stock a copy of Flora Londinensis by William Curtis published in late eighteenth century. This is considered by some, to be one of the most beautifully illustrated and important botanical publications of that time.

Buying

We are always interested in purchasing large or small collections in our specialist subject areas. We are quite happy to travel or view collections at our shop.
