Occasional, minor spotting and off-setting, occasional informed pencil notes o/w. contents fine. More recently sympathetically bound in quarter leather over beige boards, with gilt decoration and raised bands to spine, all in fine condition.
The plates feature fine botanical illustrations by William Clark ‘formerly draughtsman and engraver to the London Horticutural Society; sufficient guarantee, it is presumed, for the excellence of their execution.’.
