Pub. John Bale. 1921-30 3 vols. with 60 fine coloured plates by Gronvold, Lodge and Keulemans. Vols. 1 & 2 bound in green morocco and Vol.3 in matching imitation green cloth. A very good set.
These volumes supersede the earlier work by Hume and Marshall. The text is an expanded revision of articles published serially in the Journal Bombay Natural History Society. The first volume deals with Ducks, the second with Snipe, Bustards & Sand Grouse and the last with Pheasants & Bustard Quail.
